Yes there are 2 seals on PTO shaft. 1 faces each direction, replace facing same as ones removed. Easiest for me is to remove PTO shaft from rear of tractor, 3 bolts hold it. I believe an O ring seals to case, IF seal appears to seep it's a good time to replace.

Here is that upper alum retainer for the top half of the rear seal: Squeezing the felt prior to install: checking for flatness: Dont forget the "F" gaskets. I guess this upper seal can be changed with out removing the crank. But the fly wheel would need to come off, to get to the aluminum retainer. Hope that helps.

If not use the felt and soak it in oil first. Sometimes the felt seal will be so tight it helps in centering it on the crank. Although the felt seals tend to weep a bit more. I prefer to switch over to the lip type seal. Either way, it is difficult to get the front cover perfectly centered on the crank.

You likely just need the seal kit that would replace all the piston and head seals and o-rings. We have everything in stock for $40.42 per cylinder. Baum Hydraulics probably also has those seal kits. Bill, 2 years ago, I had my dealer replace all 4 cylinder's seal kits as you described.

Father and I recently overhauled our 190 (non-turbo) and installed new seals in the adapter plate as well as the wear sleeve on the flywheel. First 3 hours of run time we had no leak. Upon working the engine for about 15 minutes, had engine oil pouring out the bottom hole in the bellhousing. Shut tractor down.

Apparently, the cylinder didn't leak after I put the new seal kit in it because it needed to be used to wear the seal by the bend. The consensus is that if I installed it incorrectly, it would have leaked immediately. To replace the rod it was estimated to cost about $500 per cylinder.
The 'cavity' where the seal goes was deep enough to put to seals in and the axle shaft has some grooves in it. An extra $6 seal didn't break the bank. I used National Seal # 471765. They may be thinner than the originals, 230851. The differential dwg, pg 157, sows the seal as #14 and wide, maybe 1/2".
